My 12 year old son and I just finished this puzzle and it was a very enjoyable experience! It was nice to get him off the Xbox and iPod and do a hands on project together! It was a great few hours spent together and the final product looks fantastic. The puzzle pieces are of exceptional quality and every piece fits together perfectly. When it's put together it feels surprisingly study and there is no fear about moving it around or letting someone hold it when looking at it. All the pieces are made of plastic so there's no peeling or bent pieces, even if you took it apart and put it back together a thousand times! The artwork on the pieces are done very nicely. From just a small distance away you can't even tell it's a puzzle!
The directions were very clear and we always knew what to do next. With the illustrated directions given I am confidant that most everyone will be able to figure out how to do the puzzle with minimal frustration. Some pieces have numbers and arrows (on the backs of the puzzle pieces) directing you where to install the next one. The numbers are clear and legible and we had no problems putting it together. I would recommend sorting the numbered pieces numerically in groups of ten before starting. The pieces that connect the towers can be a little tricky to line up but if you look closely at the illustrations in the directions and line up the tabs, you shouldn't have any problems. So if you are looking for something to do with you're family for a night and get them off their electronic devices this is a great option. As soon as we were done he told me he wanted to do another one and i definitely would have to agree with him. I've included some pictures of the finished castle, it looks great! Thanks Ravensburger for making this quality product and for the experience with my son.
